Job Description & Requirements

This position requires solution technology level skills to work independently as a product/services solutions specialist in servicing and/or training on certain business support work area needs/offerings. This includes new business and other various support functions as developed or assigned.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform product specialist solution skill services including configuring, installing, troubleshooting, networking, maintaining, and training as assigned in their area of expertise.
  • Perform full range of product repair, customer training, equipment, and workflow observation, and engage in problem-solving to improve methods.
  • Proactively seek volume-building opportunities to increase utilization of Ricoh equipment, supplies, and services.
  • Assemble, adjust, and maintain products according to specs and relevant documentation/instruction.
  • Act as a resource for others when solutions-level expertise/skill is required.
  • Maintain productive, professional relationships with all customers and Ricoh personnel, contributing to the overall success of the team.
  • Understand and promote Ricoh's support functions and offerings, anticipating and managing customer needs.
  • Manage own time and schedule, assisting in support of solutions time/schedule.
  • Execute all required workload management and call handling procedures.
  • Complete administrative tasks accurately and in a timely manner, including maintaining required logs and reports.
  • Account for all time and activity by recording information in the proper tracking system.
  • Maintain a "car stock" and/or customer on-site inventory as necessary.
  • Achieve expected productivity levels associated with assigned workload and experience.
  • Participate in Ricoh Extra Value program opportunities and bill accordingly.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Experience

  • Requires a valid state driver's license and minimum level of auto insurance coverage per Ricoh policy.
  • Requires experience involving computers, electronics, mechanics, basic network, and printing software applications.
  • Meets the requirements listed in the Technology Services Training Role Inventory and Certification Program for the assigned role.

Required Education

  • High school diploma required.

Working Conditions

  • Extensive daily travel in an automobile between customer locations is usually required.
  • Assignments at a customer's site or "walking work area" might require extensive travel by foot.
  • Travel may be required in a wide variety of weather conditions.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.
  • May need to move objects up to 400 pounds and lift/carry objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequent stooping, bending, squatting, and kneeling may be required.
  • Requires dexterity for regular application of basic skills (calculator, keyboard, hand tools, eye/hand coordination).
  • Shift work, overtime, stand-by, and/or on-call may be required.
  • Work may involve periodic stress due to deadlines, performance expectations, and customer service challenges.
