Position Profile

The Lead Development Representative (LDR) proactively engages in outbound prospecting and responds to inbound sales inquiries to generate qualified sales opportunities for Ricoh’s products, solutions, and services. This role supports the sales organization by nurturing leads and feeding the top of the sales funnel with high-potential prospects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to execute targeted campaigns and plays that drive market penetration.
  • Inform customers of promotions and new product offerings to foster long-term relationships.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Ricoh Sales Representatives by delivering well-qualified leads.
  • Use expert probing techniques to uncover new contacts and product requirements within accounts.
  • Understand customer environments and recommend tailored Ricoh solutions.
  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities to maintain Ricoh’s visibility and relevance.
  • Promote Ricoh’s initiatives and enhance customer awareness of offerings.
  • Provide detailed lead information to sales for further development and account penetration.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in CRM systems.
  • Continuously expand product knowledge through training and development.
  • Support marketing campaigns and promotions to drive revenue growth.
  • Adhere to Ricoh’s business processes and recommend improvements when necessary.
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
  • Execute sales cadences, including account research, stakeholder identification, and interest generation.
  • Schedule discovery calls and product demos for sales representatives.
  • Follow up on email and webinar campaigns, providing feedback to marketing teams.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, email cadences, and competitive landscape.
  • Report weekly on activity milestones and performance metrics.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 3–5 years of experience in business development, telemarketing, cold calling, or sales in a high-tech environment.
  • Proven background in lead nurturing and collaboration with sales teams.
  • Experience with closed-loop lead tracking processes preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in generating leads that convert to closed/won revenue.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce, LinkedIn, Eloqua, and InsideSales.com is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong understanding of sales methodologies and processes.
  • Solid product knowledge to effectively position Ricoh’s hardware and services.
  • Proficiency with sales automation tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent phone, prospecting, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with sales teams and become a trusted partner.
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Highly organized with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and accountable for performance.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Assertive and persuasive communication style with active listening skills.
  • Quick learner with strong adaptability.
