Job Description & Requirements

Technicians will perform preventative and corrective maintenance tasks on the AirTrain, the guideway, and station doors. Technicians will also perform maintenance on the Construction Management Services team, reporting directly to the CMS Project Manager. Operations and Maintenance is performed 24 hours a day, 7 days a per week, and 365 days per year. 

$26.70/hour plus a 10% pay differential for 2nd and 3rd shifts.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect vehicles and related equipment to detect failed or improperly operating equipment. 
  • Perform electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems inspection following established procedures or ther written or verbal instructions.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance and/or replace defective parts or equipment utilizing manuals, drawings, specifications, and other written or verbal instructions. 
  • Perform in-depth troubleshooting and resolve mechanical, electrical, and electronic failures.
  • Document all preventive maintenance and special work orders completed. 
  • Enter data into the Maximo Program.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety rules to include but not limited to SOP’s.

Qualifications & Functional Knowledge:

  • High School diploma or equiv. Technical school preferred.
  • Ability to work in a face paced environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure

Knowledge of the Business:

  • 1-2 years in maintenance shop

Technical: 

  • Basic electrical experience and mechanical experience. 
  • Able to read schematics. 
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings. 
  • Hydraulics knowledge. 
  • Knowledge and ability to use a wide variety of tools to include meters.  Knowledge and ability to operate a radio. 
  • Wiring expertise a plus.  
  • Switch and Rail Knowledge a plus
