Job Description & Requirements

Ferguson is seeking an experienced and customer-focused Counter Sales Representative. This individual will support customers by providing product guidance, managing orders, and ensuring an exceptional in-store experience. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:30 PM or 8:00 AM–5:00 PM. Pay is expected to be between $20–$24 per hour, based on experience.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Advise customers on products to meet their needs
  • Process orders using order management systems
  • Operate cash registers and follow cash handling procedures
  • Prepare and stage orders for customer pick-up
  • Maintain store appearance and restock merchandise
  • Adhere to safety regulations and proper use of PPE, including safety harness use

Required Experience

  • 3–5 years of sales experience preferred
  • 2 years of HVAC or plumbing industry experience preferred
  • Strong sales aptitude and decision-making skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and general computer skills
  • Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise

Work Environment

  • Must maintain a safe working environment and follow all PPE requirements
  • This includes the use of a safety harness with a maximum weight capacity of 400 lbs
