Primary Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and/or installation work on assigned wind turbines with minimal supervision.
- Follow defined schedules, procedures, and safety protocols while adhering to verbal/written instructions.
- Mentor entry-level technicians as needed.
- Work at heights of up to 250 feet and in confined spaces to perform maintenance and repairs.
- Operate intermediate-level power tools, such as hydraulic and diagnostic tools (e.g., Flukemeter functions and hydraulic pressure gauge).
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and recommend improvements in safety and work quality.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and maintain professionalism in customer interactions.
Required Experience
- At least 1 year of technical wind industry experience OR six (6) months of technical wind industry experience with a certificate of completion from a wind technician program OR a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, composite skills, or heavy machinery.
- Experience using and understanding intermediate-level power tools such as hydraulic, power torque, and diagnostic tools.
- Ability to read, interpret, and understand drawings and schematics.
- Strong attention to detail to follow safety protocols (e.g., confined space, energy isolation).
Required Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Work Environment
- Work at heights of up to 250 feet and in confined spaces.
- Exposure to varying weather conditions while performing maintenance and repairs.
- Climbing stairs and ladders while carrying up to 50 lbs.
