Job Description & Requirements

The Product Introduction (PI) Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting Alstom products at customer sites to ensure optimal availability. The role involves providing technical expertise, mentoring less experienced field operators, and supporting various technical investigations. The position requires flexibility to travel for business approximately every 2 months for 2-4 day trips.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Comply with Alstom and customer EHS policies and procedures at customer sites.
  • Troubleshoot, investigate, and repair products during the PI period, including pre-warranty and commissioning activities.
  • Conduct fleet check activities and report deviations in the Failure Management database.
  • Support technical investigations in collaboration with Engineering or suppliers.
  • Ensure effective communication within the Troubleshooting and Customer Site Warranty team.
  • Assist with helpdesk activities when required.
  • Implement Field Modifications (FM) as necessary.
  • Contribute to Return of Experience through preventive and corrective actions and suggestions for product enhancements.
  • Provide feedback to PI management on customer satisfaction and product performance.

Required Experience

  • Minimum of two years in technical roles related to mechanical or electrical/electronics applications.
  • Field experience demonstrating a structured and organized, hands-on approach.
  • Strong teamwork skills with excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Required Education

  • A degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience in mechanical, electrical/electronic, and IT fields.
  • Completion of internal EHS training.
  • Fluent English communication skills.
