Alstom is seeking a full-time Painter in Plattsburgh for the 2nd shift (2:00 PM - 10:30 PM) with a pay rate of $23.75/hour. This role is ideal for someone with painting expertise ready to take on new challenges in the rail industry. You’ll work with a motivated team to support the painting process for rail vehicles, ensuring high-quality finishes and compliance with safety standards.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform paint preparation, application, and repair on rail vehicles
• Complete acceptable repairs on applied coatings
• Maintain paint process records
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations
• Troubleshoot painting issues and propose technical solutions
• Deliver quality work on schedule

Required Experience

• 2 years of experience working in an Auto Body Shop or Industrial Paint Shop
• Familiarity with operating painting tools and machinery
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Physical ability to maneuver, push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds

Required Education

• Completion of a Vocational course in Auto Body Repair or a similar field

Work Environment

• Must be willing to work from heights
• Must be able to pass required respiratory testing and wear personal protective equipment
