Job Description & Requirements

Join Alstom as a full-time Production Operator/Welder and play a key role in delivering high-quality transportation solutions. In this role, you’ll be responsible for executing critical welding and assembly tasks to ensure our products meet stringent quality and safety standards.
Pay Rate: $24.50/hour with opportunities for overtime.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Execute the assembly and welding of stainless steel parts (1.5mm to 6mm thickness) using MIG/MAG processes in all welding positions.

  • Prepare and regulate welding equipment in accordance with internal guidelines, adjusting voltage, amperage, speed, oscillation, and gas flow as needed.

  • Perform assembly tasks prior to welding, including positioning parts and tack welding.

  • Inspect finished products to ensure consistent adherence to quality standards.

  • Monitor and guide other welding technicians, offering instructions and technical support.

  • Use APSYS tools (5S, Autonomous Team, SMED, TPM, Self Inspection, Shop Floor Meetings) to improve work processes.

  • Carry out welding tasks aligned with area needs and your qualifications.

Required Experience

  • Familiarity with technical drawings and specifications.

  • Experience with TIG welding is desirable, particularly for repair tasks.

  • Demonstrated attention to detail and adherence to quality standards.

Required Education

  • Completion of a technical school training/course in Arc Welding.
