Vestas Wind Technology, Inc. is hiring for the position of Wind Turbine Technician II. The role offers a $2,500 sign-on bonus to qualified candidates.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance and installation work on assigned wind turbines under minimal supervision.
• Work with defined schedules and procedures, including safety protocol, and verbal/written instructions.
• Occasionally provide mentorship to entry-level technicians.
• Handle physical tasks such as climbing, carrying tools, and moving parts to complete maintenance and repairs.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintain professionalism in all work.
• Work in a team environment, with emphasis on teamwork, safety, and attention to detail.

Required Experience:

• At least one year of wind experience or a wind certificate with 1-3 years of experience in transferable mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical work.
• Ability to solve issues using process elimination.

Required Education:

• Basic Safety Training (BST), Basic Technical Training (BTT), and Advanced Rescue Training (ART) certifications from the Global Wind Organization (GWO).

Work Environment:

• Physical work environment that may involve heights of up to 250 feet, small spaces, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Tasks may include climbing and carrying equipment to perform maintenance and repairs.
