MasTec Advanced Technologies is seeking Fiber Installation Technicians to perform basic to advanced installation and troubleshooting of fiber optic broadband equipment and services for residential and occasional commercial customers. Pay rate ranges from $22 to $24 per hour. Technicians will install, splice, repair, and maintain fiber-optic cables and connectors, ensuring high-quality service and strict adherence to safety protocols.

Primary Responsibilities

• Install, splice, repair, and terminate fiber-optic cables and connectors in indoor and outdoor settings with new and existing infrastructure

• Maintain detailed records of installations, repairs, and equipment used

• Generate accurate reports on work completed and document network configurations

• Apply personal ethics, honesty, initiative, flexibility, and responsibility during work assignments

• Ensure the highest quality of service to promote superior customer satisfaction

• Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and procedures

Required Experience

• Ability to lift 60-80 pounds and climb 28-36 foot ladders

• Valid driver’s license

• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test, criminal background check, and MVR (driving record) check

• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends or evenings
