Job Description & Requirements
The Special Agent (Police) position offers a $10,000 Hiring Bonus, with a $5,000 bonus payable 30 days after hire and an additional $5,000 payable one year after hire. The salary range for this role is $94,800 - $103,400.
Primary Responsibilities

Protect and safeguard company assets, personnel, property, and customer property entrusted to the company.

Conduct corporate and criminal investigations, provide detailed reports, and testify in court as needed.

Address trespassers on company property, making arrests when necessary.

Advise company officials on crime reduction, safety improvements, and security.

Respond to railroad emergencies and supervise contract security guards.

Train employees on security-related matters.

Perform patrols of facilities, railroad property, and trains, focusing on high-value shipments.

Other duties as assigned.
Required Experience
-
Completion of basic police training at a recognized state-certified academy.

Must meet peace officer commissioning standards and maintain a valid State Peace Officer License.

At least 18 months of full-time experience as a peace officer with a city, county, state, federal, or railroad law enforcement agency.

Ability to lead in stressful and critical-event environments.

Experience handling emergency situations, such as derailments and load securement.
Must live or be willing to relocate within 50 miles of the assigned work location
• Must have broad knowledge of railroad industry and operations; particularly as it relates to handling emergency situations such as derailments, load securement, and like events
• Must be physically and psychologically fit, able to successfully pass any required company evaluations and pass an extensive background investigation
Must have a valid driver’s license
Required Education

High school diploma or GED required.
