This position requires advanced-level technology skills to work independently, providing strategic analysis and consultative support to service, maintain, repair, and develop solutions for a wide variety of company products and services. It also includes new business and other various support functions as developed or assigned.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Technical:

  • Perform advanced services such as configuring, installing, troubleshooting, networking, maintaining, and training as assigned in their area of expertise on various products and services.
  • Act as a consultant/strategic professional; solve high-end product and repetitive issues.
  • Lead others in technical efforts, instructing on processes and demonstrating leadership in complex situations.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to increase the utilization of Ricoh equipment, supplies, and services.
  • Assemble/adjust/maintain/share expertise on products and equipment operations according to specs and documentation.

• Customer Services:

  • Understand and promote Ricoh's support functions, managing customer needs across levels.
  • Manage own time and schedule effectively, assisting others with their workloads.
  • Maintain productive, professional relationships with customers and Ricoh personnel.

• Manage Workload:

  • Execute workload management and call handling procedures using field call management requirements.
  • Provide customer training, equipment/workflow observation, and solution presentations for improved methods.

• Administrative:

  • Maintain a full workload, meeting response times, repair times, quality objectives, and cost control metrics.
  • Complete administrative tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Track time and activities through proper systems and maintain inventory as assigned.
  • Achieve productivity levels and participate in Ricoh Extra Value program opportunities.

• Results:

  • Achieve expected productivity and performance levels associated with assigned workload and experience.

Required Experience:

• Requires a valid state driver's license and auto insurance coverage per Ricoh policy for positions involving extensive use of personal cars.
• Experience in computers, electronics, mechanics, network basics, and printing software is desired.
• Meets the Technology Services Training Role Inventory and Certification Program requirements.

Required Education:

• High school diploma required.
• Completed classes or experience in relevant technical areas (computers, electronics, mechanics, basic network, connectivity, and printing software) is desired.

Working Conditions:

• Extensive daily travel in an automobile between customer locations, sometimes requiring foot travel.
• Occasional overnight travel.
• May need to lift objects up to 50 pounds and move objects on wheels up to 400 pounds.
• Frequent stooping, bending, squatting, and kneeling to service equipment.
• Requires dexterity for basic skills (calculator, keyboard, hand tools).
• Shift work, overtime, stand-by, and/or on-call may be required.
• Work involves stress related to deadlines, performance expectations, and increased service call volumes, along with occasional customer dissatisfaction.
