Vestas Wind Technology, Inc. is seeking a Wind Turbine Technician II at the Crescent Ridge Wind Farm in Tiskilwa, IL. We are offering a $2,500 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates. If you possess Basic Safety Training (BST), Basic Technical Training (BTT), and Advanced Rescue Training (ART) certifications from the Global Wind Organization (GWO), you are already a step ahead! Primary Responsibilities

• Perform major correctives on a variety of wind turbine platforms and brands.
• Work at heights and in confined spaces, exposed to various weather conditions.
• Follow defined schedules and procedures, including safety protocols.
• Provide mentorship to entry-level technicians as needed.
• Troubleshoot and identify solutions to mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues.
• Maintain professionalism, safety, and attention to detail in all tasks.
• Travel up to 33% per year, with increased travel initially for training purposes.

Required Experience

• At least one year of wind energy experience OR 2-3 years of experience in a related field (mechanical, hydraulic, electrical troubleshooting, or agricultural experience).
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Experience working in physically demanding environments, including climbing and working at heights.

Required Education

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Relevant technical certifications are a plus.

Work Environment

• Work performed at heights of up to 250 feet.
• Exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
• Requires lifting, carrying tools, and working in confined spaces.
