This full-time position involves extensive travel to complete nationwide field service calls in all weather conditions, day and night. Travel is typically done by driving a company vehicle to various field locations. The role partners with contractors and customers to ensure unit performance and build positive relationships in the field. The hourly pay rate for this role ranges from $25.29 to $37.94.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Complete field service reports for each job, including digital photos and descriptions of issues to help correct future problems.
• Perform AAON factory rep startups using a checklist while initializing units and addressing any issues.
• Conduct diagnostic tests (e.g., checking pressures, temperatures, electronics, wiring, mechanical parts) to verify proper operation.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, cabinet, and refrigeration circuit issues; determine parts needed for repairs.
• Meet with contractors and customers to ensure unit performance and maintain positive field relationships.
• Purchase parts, supplies, and materials (e.g., refrigerant, brazing rods, copper connectors, hand tools, gases for torches) in the field as needed.
• Replace failed components in equipment (e.g., compressors, coils, electronic components) and recover refrigerant as required.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance, site surveys, installations, and modifications.
• Train building maintenance personnel and service companies on unit maintenance, operational sequences, and the use of electronic service tools.
• Maintain inventory stock and equipment and document service-related activities.
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to optimize service delivery.
• Maintain company vehicle as per company policies and procedures (oil and fluid changes, tire rotations, etc.).

Required Experience:

• 3-5 years of HVAC experience required.
• HVAC Refrigerant and Technical Training Certifications required.
• Associate’s degree in engineering technology or a related field is highly preferred.

Required Education:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate’s degree in engineering technology or a related field is highly preferred.

Work Environment:

• This position requires remote work with the expectation of traveling by vehicle at least 70% of the time.
• Frequent visits to the field year-round, in all weather conditions, day and night.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to sit and drive a vehicle for extended periods of time.
