Job Description & Requirements
Ferguson is seeking a Credit Coordinator to join our team. This role offers a pay range of $15.00 – $29.19 per hour and is bonus or incentive plan eligible. The Credit Coordinator will be responsible for managing customer credit accounts, processing payments, reconciling balances, and supporting collection activities while ensuring compliance with organizational guidelines.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage credit accounts by processing payments, reconciling outstanding balances, and preparing reports on receivables and past due accounts.
- Provide customer support related to account inquiries and issues.
- Perform clerical support tasks such as copying, distributing mail, maintaining records, and performing simple calculations.
- Approve order ticket releases for restricted credit accounts and handle lien notices, certified letters, and lien waivers.
- Monitor and resolve uncollected CODs, NSF checks, and credit card chargebacks.
- Process tax-exempt forms, issue tax credits, and apply payments to open accounts.
- Conduct collection activities, including follow-up inquiries, negotiating repayment terms, and determining referrals to collection agencies or account write-offs.
Required Experience
- 3+ years of credit experience preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple demands.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
- Strong and accurate data entry skills.
- Ability to perform basic math functions.
