Ferguson is now hiring a Lead Counter Sales Representative to lead the day-to-day operations of our wholesale and retail parts counter!
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00AM-4:00PM
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead the overall operation including hiring, providing constructive feedback to Counter Sales Reps, and scheduling associates to ensure efficient and quality counter operations
- Supervise the merchandising, organization, and appearance of the counter
- Effectively and professionally resolve complaints regarding products, customer purchases, and customer service
- Approve volume discounts and pricing adjustments and resolve pricing discrepancies with customers
- Train associates on product specifications, merchandising, counter organization, and sales
- Develop new customers through direct advertising and promotional campaigns
- Participate in leadership meetings and represent operational concerns, policies, and guidelines to the management team
- Continually focus on improving system efficiencies and business practices
- May be responsible for providing back-up driver duties and responsibilities
Required Experience
- 7-10 years of sales experience preferred
- 2 years of experience in a leadership role preferred
- Local plumbing or HVAC market knowledge preferred
- Previous warehouse experience preferred
Required Education
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Valid state-issued driver’s license is required
Work Environment
- Ability to handle numerous customers simultaneously
- Ability to work with and analyze numbers
- Strong interpersonal skills
- General computer skills required
- Attention to detail, demonstrated integrity, and professionalism
Pay range
- Starting at $24 per hour or higher depending on experience
