Vestas is offering a $2,500 sign-on bonus for the Wind Turbine Technician III position. This role offers an opportunity for career growth in a dynamic and evolving industry focused on sustainable energy solutions. The position is based at the Fowler Ridge Wind Farm in Benton County, Indiana, and the ideal candidate will bring expertise in wind turbine maintenance, fault analysis, and troubleshooting.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled service, fault analysis, troubleshooting, and main component or blade work on wind turbines.
• Provide technical direction, oversight, and mentorship to lower-level technicians.
• Execute site plans for maintenance and repairs per Vestas safety requirements, including the proficient use of specialist tools and diagnostic processes.
• Work at heights and in confined spaces, with exposure to weather elements.
• Participate in a team-oriented environment, typically working in teams of 2-3 technicians.
• Climb 1-2 turbines per day and assist with other sites when required, involving travel up to 10% per year.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintain a safety-focused mindset at all times.

Required Experience

• 2-3 years of experience in mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical work, with wind turbine experience being a plus.
• Familiarity with wind turbine diagnostics and maintenance tools.
• Experience in troubleshooting and fault analysis.

Required Education

• Basic Safety Training (BST), Basic Technical Training (BTT), and Advanced Rescue Training (ART) certifications from the Global Wind Organization (GWO) are preferred.
