Job Description & Requirements

Alstom is seeking a full-time Electro-mechanical Technician in Atlanta. In this role, you will apply your technical expertise in a cutting-edge field, helping shape the foundation of electronic systems for rail by influencing the safety and functionality of trains and digital mobility systems. You will work under the guidance of the Electronic Technician Team Leader alongside a dedicated team, supporting the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical, electronic, and electro-mechanical assemblies and systems.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform installation, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical, electronic, and electro-mechanical assemblies and systems

  • Conduct component-level troubleshooting, system testing, and maintain technical documentation

  • Provide expertise on electronic issues and incident resolution

  • Propose technical solutions to improve performance and safety

  • Ensure quality and on-time delivery of assigned tasks

  • Participate in experimental testing and problem resolution activities

Required Experience

  • Hands-on experience using standard electronic test equipment such as Digital Volt Meter, Oscilloscope, and Hand Tools

  • Understanding of basic electronic circuitry and diagnosis, including linear and non-linear theory, parallel and series circuits, and Ohm's Law

  • Familiarity with reading technical drawings, datasheets, and written work instructions

  • Experience with digital, analog, and mechanical systems

Required Education

  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent technical experience and/or military technical training
