About the role
The Material Coordinator primary objective is to assist the department assigned in their efforts to maintain customer service and inventory control as appropriate for intermediate, raw packaging & non inventory components. This position requires daily interaction with Reckitt’s internal planning, operations, and potentially vendors to ensure we are maximizing our customer service goals while  minimizing inventory and operating costs.

Your responsibilities
  • Utilizes Warehouse Management System, Inventory Management, and other tools to analyze inventory levels and create requisition orders from internal and/or external warehouses. 
  • Supports managing of work orders related to assigned department if required for intermediate product. 
  • Sends, receives, and copies correspondence between themself, warehouse, and affected departments.
  • Assist planning department if requested in coordinating the delivery of components from vendors; expedites/de-expedite orders, track on time delivery and supplier quality.
  • Performs other duties as required.

The experience we're looking for
  • High School Diploma or GED required.  College degree preferred, but not required.  
  • At least 2 years of relevant data entry experience or similar experience with routine use of system generated reports and follow up
  • Strong mathematics skills.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of ERP/MRP basics – preferably with JD Edwards.
  • Must be detail oriented with good oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.   
  • Must be able to work independently with limited guidance furnished on unusual matters.  Candidate must be able to perform general mathematical calculations.
  • Understand and comply with safety instructions.
