Job Description & Requirements

The Onsite Licensed Sales Counselor is responsible for engaging with prospective buyers, conducting final sales, and facilitating the purchase of newly constructed residential homes. This role involves identifying new leads, contacting prospective buyers, brokers, and referrals, and ensuring a smooth sales process from initial contact to closing. The position offers a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Greet visitors and provide literature, point-of-sale information, and handouts to prospective homebuyers.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and provide detailed information about homes, floor plans, and options.
  • Overcome sales objections and close sales with the goal of customer satisfaction.
  • Receive offers, process loan applications, and answer financing questions from potential buyers.
  • Maintain accurate records, follow up on loan applications, and track sales and cancellations.
  • Conduct weekly follow-up calls with buyers until the home is closed.
  • Ensure that sales models and the community are clean and well-maintained.
  • Update marketing materials and distribute them to potential buyers.
  • Proactively seek new customers through networking, referrals, and follow-up.
  • Use competitive market analysis (CMA) and other data-driven tools to sell homes.
  • Contact real estate brokers and host presentations to attract them to KB Home communities.
  • Host grand openings and community events.

Required Experience

  • Previous sales experience required; new home sales experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to connect with people, build, and maintain professional relationships.
  • Strong ability to work in a team setting, with an inclusive approach to others' ideas.
  • Ability to make quick, data-driven decisions.
  • Experience in maintaining customer satisfaction with a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Required Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Current local real estate license required.
  • Valid driver's license required.
