As a Wind Turbine Technician II at Vestas, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and installation work on assigned wind turbines under minimal supervision. You will utilize your electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical experience while prioritizing safety. A $2,500 USD / $3,300 CAD sign-on bonus is offered for this role.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance and installation work on wind turbines
• Follow defined schedules, procedures, and safety protocols
• Work at heights, sometimes up to 250 feet, and in small spaces
• Mentor entry-level technicians
• Operate and understand intermediate-level power tools such as hydraulic, power torque, and diagnostic tools
• Collaborate with co-workers and communicate effectively with customers
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols, including confined space entry and energy isolation procedures

Required Experience:

• At least 1 year of technical wind industry experience, OR Six (6) months of technical wind industry experience and a certificate of completion from a wind technician program, OR a minimum of three (3) years of experience in electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, composite skills, or heavy machinery

Required Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Work Environment:

• Work will be performed outdoors in all weather conditions
• Must be able to climb stairs and ladders, carrying up to 50 lbs of equipment
• Safety is a top priority, with emphasis on professional teamwork and attention to detail
