Job Description & Requirements

If you hold certifications like Basic Safety Training (BST), Basic Technical Training (BTT), and Advanced Rescue Training (ART) from the Global Wind Organization (GWO), you’re already one step ahead! As a Wind Service Technician II, you’ll perform maintenance and installation work on wind turbines under minimal supervision, contributing to the success of our sustainable energy solutions.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance and installation work on wind turbines, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
  • Work with minimal supervision, but provide mentorship to entry-level technicians when needed.
  • Complete tasks such as climbing turbines, carrying tools, and moving parts, sometimes in challenging weather conditions.
  • Participate in teamwork and maintain professionalism, safety, and attention to detail.
  • Provide recommendations to improve safety and work quality.

Required Experience

  • At least 1 year of wind industry experience or 2-3 years of mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical troubleshooting experience.
  • Ability to work in high and small spaces, sometimes up to 250 feet above ground.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Required Education

  • Certification in Basic Safety Training (BST), Basic Technical Training (BTT), and Advanced Rescue Training (ART) from the Global Wind Organization (GWO).
