Job Description & Requirements
Ferguson is seeking Appliance Delivery and Installation Associates to deliver, install, and remove a wide variety of appliances in commercial and residential settings. The position offers competitive compensation with bonus or incentive plan eligibility and an hourly pay range of $19.34 - $29.00. The role includes company-paid training, a family-friendly work/life balance, and opportunities for growth.
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform basic appliance installations and demonstrate willingness to learn custom installations (training provided).
- Accurately handle and install basic gas and electric household appliances (e.g., washers, dryers, ranges, refrigerators).
- Ensure all installed appliances are damage-free, correctly installed to manufacturer specifications, and fully operational.
- Interact professionally and courteously with builders, designers, and customers on-site.
- Attend company-paid training and certification seminars to remain updated on product changes.
- Fulfill driver duties and responsibilities as required.
Required Experience
- 1+ years of experience in Appliance Delivery & Installation is preferred (willing to train motivated individuals).
- Ability to lift 70+ lbs frequently and 90+ lbs occasionally with the use of lifting equipment (e.g., stair climber, oven lift, air sled).
- Strong mechanical aptitude and desire to learn.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Required Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Must have a valid state-issued driver’s license.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Must possess or be able to obtain a DOT Medical Card.
- Pre-employment drug and background screening required.
Work Environment
- Physical role involving frequent heavy lifting with mechanical assistance.
- Work performed in both residential and commercial environments.
- Hands-on training and safety procedures provided.
