Job Description & Requirements
The Logistics Lead is responsible for overseeing, coordinating, and assisting with receiving, order processing, shipping, storing supplies, and dispatching materials to ensure effective and efficient operations and material transportation. This position includes a pay rate starting at $30.00 per hour, plus a $3.00 shift differential for the night shift.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead a group of Material Handlers in daily production tasks within the warehouse
- Serve as a resource for department colleagues and internal customers
- Utilize SAP to maintain receiving, order fulfillment, packaging, and shipping of materials
- Ensure timely posting of all inventory transactions such as receiving, shipping, and stock transfers
- Oversee order fulfillment, packing, and crating of materials for sites & projects
- Safely operate all heavy equipment according to relevant legislation, policies, and procedures
- Frequently handle materials up to 35 lbs individually and 70 lbs as a team
- Participate in training courses as required
- Ensure safety measures are followed in the warehouse
- Maintain communication with interdepartmental staff and support areas
- Supervise kit and container documentation and new kit development
- Prioritize and assign work to Material Handlers
Required Experience
- 1-3 years of experience in tools management and warehousing
- Strong leadership skills with a hands-on "lead by example" approach
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams) and other software programs
- Ability to perform under high pressure and in a changing work environment
- Knowledge of products and tools
Required Education
- High School Diploma or GED required
- On-the-job or equivalent related experience preferred
Work Environment
- Able to work in demanding physical conditions and inclement weather
- Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for tasks, such as safety glasses, gloves, face shield, respirator, bump cap
