Job Description & Requirements

The Logistics Team Member I is responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing materials, tools, equipment, and products based on internal customer needs. This position requires a commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency. Pay range: $21.50 - $23.50 per hour, plus a $3.00 shift differential for night shift.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Create a safe work environment by following all safety rules and procedures.
  • Participate in 5S activities to maintain a clean and organized area.
  • Read production schedules and orders to determine items to be moved or distributed.
  • Sort and place materials according to predetermined sequences (e.g., size, type, color).
  • Maintain inventory accuracy by properly storing materials in FIFO (first-in, first-out) order.
  • Fill requisitions and work orders for materials, tools, or other stock items.
  • Assemble customer orders and transport them to packing stations or shipping departments.
  • Use a computer to enter records and compile worksheets from customer specifications.
  • Drive vehicles to transport materials between locations or to pick up items for shipment.
  • Maintain inventory records and prepare materials for mailing.
  • Safely handle hazardous materials and waste, complying with state and federal regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Experience

  • One to three years of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Intermediate computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, including whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

Required Education

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Work Environment

  • Occasional exposure to toxic or corrosive chemicals.
  • Moderate noise level.
  • Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, and lift up to 30 pounds.
