Acuity Brands is seeking an Assembly Cell Operator to join our team. In this role, you will assemble electronic components, subassemblies, and products, using hand tools and small equipment. A focus on safety, attention to detail, and quality standards is required. Candidates should have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate a strong work ethic, and possess excellent communication and organizational skills.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assemble fixtures, mount electronic components, and install them into larger assemblies or casings.
• Ensure proper installation of electrical wiring, testing, and troubleshooting equipment.
• Use hand tools such as power tools, crimps, wire strippers, screws, bolts, rivets, and press fits to assemble components.
• Follow security rules and safety policies, ensuring adherence to instructions and quality guidelines.
• Learn and perform manual tool operations with high attention to detail.
• Work collaboratively with a team, maintaining a positive attitude and being self-motivated.

Required Experience

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with specialized configurations.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong work ethic and sense of urgency.
• Good communication skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
• Basic mathematics skills and ability to learn quickly.

Required Education

• High School Graduate.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Bilingual (English/Spanish).
• Some experience with electronics.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to read and understand English.

Physical Requirements

• Medium work, requiring the ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
