The Delivery Driver is responsible for the efficient and quality pick-up, relocation, and delivery of office equipment while ensuring safety and professionalism at all times. This role involves installation, networking, and basic customer training, as well as maintaining compliance with federal DOT requirements and delivery safety standards.

Primary Responsibilities

• Safely deliver and pick up office equipment at the correct location.
• Maintain DOT-compliant logbooks (electronic or manual).
• Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
• Minimize costs by performing pick-ups alongside deliveries.
• Perform basic equipment installations, including setting up IP addresses, downloading print drivers, removing hard drives, and backing up customer address books.
• Provide basic training on standalone and network printing devices.
• Participate in safety programs and adhere to all accident/incident reporting guidelines.
• Pre-call customers when applicable to confirm delivery schedules.
• Achieve productivity levels based on workload and experience.
• Maintain excellent customer relations, identify customer needs, and take appropriate action.
• Provide feedback to service and process teams on networking and installation issues.
• Ensure equipment is configured correctly according to documentation (Bill of Lading, traveler, etc.).
• Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper equipment security.
• Capture electronic customer signatures using a mobile device.
• Process and complete all required paperwork.
• Assist in training new delivery drivers on new products and proper loading techniques.
• Conduct cycle counts and inventory reconciliation.
• Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, stair climbers, and pallet jacks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Safe driving record with a valid driver’s license (commercial driver’s license if applicable).
• Minimum two years of medium-duty truck driving experience.
• Completion of technical training in networking and installation preferred.
• Participation in on-the-job training with field technicians at customer locations or transfer centers.
• Eligible to drive a commercial vehicle per FMCSR regulations.
• Must pass a road test.
• Valid and current medical card.
• Must be at least 20 years old.
• Ability to read maps and use electronic GPS systems.
• Willingness to stay overnight if required per DOT regulations or peak periods.

• Ability to handle oversized and heavy equipment.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to recognize at-risk behaviors.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Familiarity with smartphones, tablets, and basic computer functions.
• Technical aptitude for installation and networking of equipment.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Basic reading, math, and writing skills.
• Certification on warehouse equipment operation may be required.

Work Environment

• Frequent physical effort required, including lifting up to 100 lbs and moving equipment weighing up to 1000 lbs.
• Frequent stooping, bending, squatting, and kneeling.
• Exposure to chemical solvents and cleaners.
• Work environments include offices, warehouses, and delivery trucks.
• Must follow safety procedures to prevent serious injuries.
• Ability to work independently and manage deliveries efficiently.
