Job Description & Requirements

The BOP Area Lead is responsible for overseeing site plant operations under the guidance of the Site Manager. This role ensures that safety practices, execution excellence, team engagement, and customer loyalty are met, all while maintaining operational performance. Primary Responsibilities

  • Meet/exceed performance objectives in safety, execution excellence, team engagement, customer loyalty, and financial performance.
  • Ensure site-level safety practices align with organizational standards and maintain compliance.
  • Champion the goal of an incident, injury, and illness-free environment.
  • Partner with the BOP Technical Support and HSE department for optimal safety results.
  • Support the Site Manager in promoting a highly aligned, engaged, and motivated team.
  • Drive a culture of execution excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Optimize operational performance using Best Known Methods.
  • Foster a learning organization that maximizes equipment maintenance and performance.
  • Support change management and site initiatives.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with customers and internal partners.
  • Interact with customers and vendors for site needs.

Required Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience with Substation and Collection Systems.
  • 1-2 years of experience within the Wind Turbine Generator industry and/or licensed Journeyman/Electrician.
  • Proven leadership experience managing day-to-day operations with an hourly workforce.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and motivate employees to achieve a highly engaged team.
  • Knowledge of safety programs, practices, and procedures.
  • Experience with scheduling, administering, and managing projects to successful outcomes.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed.
  • Proficient in MS Office; SAP knowledge highly preferred.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, and working in confined spaces.

Required Education

  • Associate’s degree in power generation or equivalent.
