BNSF Railway is seeking a Special Agent (Police) to join our team in Barstow, CA. The role offers a $10,000 hiring bonus, with an additional $5,000 bonus payable 30 days after hire and another $5,000 payable one year after hire. The position comes with a salary range of $92,000 - $107,200. Relocation packages may be provided for eligible candidates.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Protect and safeguard company assets, resources, and personnel.

• Conduct sensitive corporate and criminal investigations, provide detailed reports, and testify in court when required.

• Handle trespassers on company property and make arrests as appropriate.

• Counsel company officials to reduce crime, improve security, and respond to railroad emergencies.

• Supervise contract security guards and train employees on security matters.

• Perform proactive patrols of facilities, railroad property, and trains, focusing on high-value shipments and automobiles.

• Additional duties as assigned.

Required Experience:

• Must have completed basic police training at a state-certified academy.

• Must meet peace officer commissioning standards for the state and maintain a valid State Peace Officer License.

• Broad knowledge of criminal law, procedures, and railroad industry operations.

• Eighteen months of experience as a full-time peace officer in a city, county, state, federal, or railroad law enforcement agency.

• Must have experience in handling emergency situations, such as derailments or load securement.

• Must live or be willing to relocate within 50 miles of the assigned work location

• Eighteen months of successful experience as a full time peace officer with a city, county, state federal or railroad law enforcement agency required

Required Education:

• High School diploma or GED required.

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
