Job Description & Requirements

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance and installation work on assigned wind turbines under minimal supervision.
  • Work 250 feet above the ground or in confined spaces to conduct maintenance and repairs.
  • Follow defined schedules, procedures, and safety protocols, while also mentoring entry-level technicians.
  • Operate power tools such as hydraulic, power torque, and diagnostic tools (e.g., Flukemeter functions and hydraulic pressure gauge).
  • Read, interpret, and understand drawings, schematics, and safety protocols (e.g., confined space, energy isolation).
  • Effectively communicate with customers and collaborate with co-workers.

Required Experience

  • At least 1 year of technical wind industry experience, OR
  • Six (6) months of technical wind industry experience and a certificate of completion from a wind technician program, OR
  • A minimum of three (3) years’ electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, composite skills, or heavy machinery experience.

Required Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

Work Environment

  • Requires climbing stairs and ladders while carrying up to 50 lbs.
  • Work performed outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Team-oriented environment emphasizing professionalism, safety, and attention to detail.
