Job Description & Requirements
As a Support Representative II, Shop Technician, you will be responsible for preparing new equipment for delivery and rebuilding used equipment. This role involves providing technical support, quality assurance, training, and guidance to other technicians. Additional responsibilities include running meetings, handling special order requirements, and acting as a lead technician when management is unavailable. This position requires a strong work ethic, technical expertise, and a commitment to continuous quality improvement in shop output.
Primary Responsibilities
- Prepare and set up all assigned equipment, performing operational checks and making necessary adjustments using the Supply Chain Install/Return Checklist.
- Configure and set up advanced equipment, including production gear.
- Program equipment to match customer-specific requirements according to Customer Configuration Document (CCD) specifications.
- Provide technical support and on-the-job training to other technicians and delivery/install drivers.
- Lead continuous quality and productivity improvement initiatives.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment failures as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Complete administrative tasks accurately and in a timely manner.
- Close jobs in the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and track productivity.
- Manage company assets used for job completion.
- Follow all training programs, company policies, and safety procedures.
- Order parts for repairs as assigned by management.
- Complete all required training courses.
- Adhere to facility security and safety regulations.
- Serve as a backup to the shop supervisor/manager as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of related work experience.
- Demonstrated mastery of all shop technician competencies.
Required Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Mechanical/electronics trade school is a plus.

Work Environment
- Warehouse environment with proper lighting, ventilation, and standard noise levels.
- Exposure to chemical solvents and cleaners.
- Frequent lifting of tool cases and equipment weighing up to 75 lbs.
- Moving objects on wheels weighing up to 700 lbs.
- Regular stooping, bending, squatting, and kneeling to service equipment at floor level.
- May require overtime or work outside normal hours when necessary.
