Job Description & Requirements
The Non-CDL Driver at Ferguson will play an essential role in delivering materials to customers while ensuring safe and efficient operations. The role offers a starting wage of $18/hour or more based on experience, with a $500 signing bonus after 90 days of employment. The position follows a Monday to Friday schedule from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver materials to customers, assist with unloading, and ensure proper delivery documentation is provided.
- Pick up customer returns and validate product matches for credit requests.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, fuel the truck as needed, and report any issues to the supervisor.
- Follow all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and company safety policies.
- Assist warehouse personnel with order pulling, preparing shipments, receiving, verifying, staging, and stocking materials.
- Ability to work overtime when necessary.
Required Experience:
- 0-3 years of commercial truck driving experience preferred.
- Background in warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, and delivery, is a plus.
- General digital literacy and product knowledge, or the ability to learn quickly.
Required Education:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Valid state-issued driver’s license.
- Possession or ability to acquire a DOT Medical Card.
Work Environment:
- Primarily involves operating a commercial vehicle for deliveries.
- Requires lifting items up to 50lbs independently.
- Must comply with all safety regulations and complete pre-employment drug and background screening.
