Primary Responsibilities
- Perform work on assigned wind turbines with minimal to no supervision.
- Modify procedures and plans; take appropriate action based on general direction.
- Develop and implement well-thought-out action plans.
- Provide technical direction and mentorship to lower-level technicians.
- Perform maintenance and repairs, which may include climbing 250 feet or working in small spaces.
- Work in varying weather conditions, lifting tools and equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Utilize advanced tools and diagnostic equipment, including hydraulic rams, inductive heaters, and advanced fluke meters.
- Collaborate with team members and communicate with customers.
- Recommend improvements to safety and quality procedures.
Required Experience
- At least one year of technical wind experience.
- Experience using complex power tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Advanced working knowledge of industrial safety practices and protocols.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Basic computer operation skills and data interpretation.
Required Education
- Three-year technical associate degree or equivalent.
Work Environment
- Regularly work at heights up to 250 feet.
- Perform duties in confined spaces and in varying weather conditions.
- Physical activity includes climbing ladders and carrying up to 50 lbs.
