Ferguson is currently seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for a Commercial Water Heater Delivery Driver - Non CDL in Charleston, SC. This onsite role operates Monday through Friday between 7AM–5PM, with on-call availability for after-hours deliveries. Pay is starting at $21 an hour and can increase depending on experience. This position is eligible for a bonus or incentive plan.

Primary Responsibilities

• Transport and set in place Commercial Water Heaters weighing up to 950 lbs.
• Conduct residential and business deliveries using the Commercial Water Heater truck and other vehicles (GVWR or GCWR under and over 26,000 lbs.)
• Operate lift gate and pipe rack per training.
• Perform assigned delivery tasks including time management, safety compliance, and punctuality.
• Communicate delays to supervisor to keep customers informed.
• Provide excellent customer service on job sites and during delivery.
• Follow all Department of Transportation standards and regulations.
• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
• Respond to after-hours calls as part of 24hr emergency service (unless time off has been approved).
• Assist warehouse personnel with pulling, preparing, receiving, verifying, staging, and stocking material.

Required Experience

• Prior experience in installation and service within the industry is preferred.
• Familiarity with commercial water heaters or the ability to quickly learn.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
• Experience with a diverse customer base and varying product knowledge levels.

Required Education

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license.
• Ability to drive a Non-CDL truck weighing 10k–26k lbs.
• Ability to lift 90+ lbs frequently and 50+ lbs occasionally.

Work Environment

• On-call responsibilities for emergency deliveries within 2–3 hours of order entry.
• Physical demands include lifting heavy equipment and working onsite at customer locations.
