MasTec Advanced Technologies is seeking Fiber Installation Technicians to join their team. These technicians provide high-speed cable TV, phone, and internet installation to residential and occasional commercial customers. Pay for this role ranges from $22 to $24 per hour. Paid training is provided, along with tools, a uniform, a work van, and a gas card. This is a highly independent role with opportunities for career advancement.

Primary Responsibilities

• Install, splice, repair, and terminate fiber-optic cables and connectors in indoor and outdoor environments

• Maintain detailed records of installations, repairs, and equipment used

• Generate accurate reports and document network configurations

• Apply strong ethics, honesty, initiative, and responsibility in all work assignments

• Ensure high-quality service and superior customer satisfaction

• Strictly follow all safety protocols and procedures

Required Experience

• Experience with fiber optic installation, repair, and troubleshooting is preferred

• Ability to multi-task and work independently

• Strong customer service orientation and communication skills

• Valid driver’s license

• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test, criminal background check, and MVR (driving record) check

Work Environment

• Must be able to lift 60–80 pounds and climb 28–36 foot ladders

• Flexible work schedule required, including evenings and weekends

• This is a safety-sensitive role requiring adherence to safety protocols
