Job Description & Requirements

Serves as the on‑site systems operator for Service Advantage partner locations, running and supporting modular control, robotics, 3D‑printing, and other automated systems. Maximizes uptime and efficiency through hands‑on operation, troubleshooting, and proactive performance monitoring while adhering to partner Standard Operating Procedures.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Operate client automation, robotic, 3D‑printing, workstation, and technology systems—including software‐based controls and electro‑mechanical components.

  • Perform diagnostics, installation, configuration, mapping/induction, testing, commissioning, and routine software updates.

  • Troubleshoot and remediate system issues; escalate to partner support when required.

  • Collect and analyze performance data, apply systematic root‑cause analysis, and suggest process improvements.

  • Maintain detailed records, manage priorities, and ensure key performance indicators (KPIs) and maximum system uptime are achieved.

  • Communicate directly with client vendor partners; act as a positive influence and champion of operational excellence.

  • Complete assigned technical training and stay current on all documentation for supported systems.

  • Perform other partner‑support duties as assigned.

Required Experience

  • Associate degree or 4‑year apprenticeship/equivalent training in robotics, mechanical, mechatronics, or electrical fields OR comparable hands‑on experience.

  • Working knowledge of automated systems, PLCs, Linux/command‑line, Java, XML, SQL, and database administration.

  • Demonstrated ability to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot electro‑mechanical and software‑controlled equipment.

  • Strong problem‑solving, data‑analysis, and communication skills; customer‑centric mindset.

Required Education

  • Associate degree in a technical discipline –OR– 4 years of related apprenticeship/training.

  • (Preferred) Vocational or college degree focused on robotics, mechanical, or electronics technology.

Work Environment

  • Warehouse setting with normal lighting, ventilation, temperature, and noise levels.

  • Variable shifts and overtime may be required; regular laptop and test‑equipment use.

  • Frequent stooping, bending, squatting, kneeling; lift/carry up to 50 lbs and move wheeled loads up to 400 lbs.

  • Occasional overnight travel for vendor‑specific training.
