This position is based at an upcoming wind project located in Moriarty, NM. Employees hired into this position will be working full-time in Moriarty beginning in June 2025. Prior to then, employees in this position will take part in an accelerated on-the-job training program which will entail traveling to existing wind farms in the United States.
Salary Range: $25 to $30 per hour

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform advanced-level maintenance and repair on wind turbines with minimal to no supervision.
• Modify procedures and develop/implement action plans from general direction.
• Provide technical direction and mentorship to lower-level technicians.
• Work at heights up to 250 feet and in confined spaces.
• Perform work outdoors, often in challenging weather conditions.
• Climb ladders and carry tools/equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ensure a high standard of safety, professionalism, and quality in all work.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and provide suggestions for improvement.

Required Experience

• Experience with electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
• Proficient in using complex power tools such as hydraulic rams, inductive heaters, and advanced diagnostic tools.
• Demonstrated knowledge of industrial safety practices including energy isolation and risk mitigation.
• Basic computer operation skills and the ability to interpret computer data.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics.

Required Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Work Environment

• Ability to work in extreme conditions, including heights and confined spaces.
• Outdoor work required in varied and sometimes adverse weather conditions.
• Variable work schedule, including overtime and travel for training prior to June 2025.
