Job Description & Requirements
Ferguson is seeking a Counter Sales Representative to join their team. This role is responsible for delivering outstanding customer service while managing product sales at the counter. Schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. or 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Pay is expected to be between $20–$24 per hour based on experience.
Primary Responsibilities
- Advise customers on product selections to best meet their needs
- Process orders using the order management system
- Operate cash registers and follow cash handling procedures
- Prepare and stage customer pick-up orders
- Maintain store appearance and merchandising standards
- Restock merchandise in designated areas
- Adhere to safety regulations, including proper use of PPE and safety harness (maximum weight capacity of 400 lbs)
Required Experience
- 3–5 years of sales experience preferred
- 2 years of plumbing industry experience preferred
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise
- Strong math, decision-making, and communication skills
- Sales aptitude and willingness to learn
- Pre-employment drug and background screening required
Work Environment / Working Conditions
- Requires adherence to safety standards including wearing PPE and a safety harness
- Physical activity including lifting and loading merchandise
