Job Description & Requirements

The Delivery & Set‑Up Driver safely picks up, relocates, and delivers office equipment, installs and networks devices on‑site, provides basic customer training, and maintains full compliance with federal DOT regulations and Ricoh Delivery Safety Standards.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Safely deliver and install equipment; perform simultaneous pickups to reduce costs.

  • Conduct pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections; maintain electronic/manual DOT logbooks.

  • Execute basic network setup (IP addressing, driver downloads, hard‑drive removal, address‑book backup) and deliver introductory user training.

  • Verify equipment against Bills of Lading; load, secure, and off‑load trucks/vans with forklifts, pallet jacks, or stair climbers as needed.

  • Capture electronic customer signatures; ensure all paperwork is processed accurately.

  • Maintain professional appearance; pre‑call customers, meet productivity targets, and provide feedback to service teams.

  • Manage route inventory (up to $1 million); perform cycle counts, reconcile discrepancies, and support warehouse operations.

  • Train new drivers on products and loading techniques; follow accident/incident reporting protocols.

  • Adhere to safety programs; meet all quality standards and perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Experience

  • 2+ years medium‑duty truck driving with a safe driving record.

  • Successful road test, valid state driver’s license (CDL if state‑required), and current medical card; FMCSR eligible.

  • Online technical training in networking/installation plus on‑the‑job training with field technicians.

  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and maneuver equipment up to 1,000 lbs; certified (or certifiable) on forklifts/stair climbers.

Required Education

  • High‑school diploma or equivalent.

Work Environment

  • Mix of office, warehouse, and vehicle settings with normal lighting, ventilation, temperature, and noise.

  • Frequent stooping, bending, squatting, kneeling, and heavy lifting; movement of wheeled loads up to 1,000 lbs.

  • Exposure to chemical solvents/cleaners; variable weather when loading/unloading.

  • Variable schedule with possible overtime and overnight stays to meet DOT rules or peak demand.
