This position proactively reviews future routes to eliminate potential challenges and create solutions based on customer expectations. The dispatcher works with sales, scheduling, field service, inventory control, and other functional areas to ensure timely and accurate delivery, pickup, and relocation of equipment to customers. They use advanced scheduling software to provide available windows to customers to satisfy their needs.

Primary Responsibilities

• Route trucks efficiently to balance workload and shipping costs while keeping Sales informed and transmitting the proper shipping paperwork to the Oracle Repository.
• Support various business channels.
• Provide back-up support for Administrator, Scheduler when applicable.
• Close out previous day's routes.
• Coordinate overall voicemails and emails between internal and external customers.
• Check not shipped in Dispatch Prep to ensure all required units have been scanned and loaded daily.
• Reconcile routes (aborts, uploading D&As to Oracle, etc.).
• Maintain resource calendar to ensure adequate resources are available.
• Validate completion of relocation processing.
• Verify integrity, update, and provide feedback on metrics reporting.
• Update the Issue Log.
• Validate, publish, print, and finalize routes.
• Print RMAs/D&As.
• Forecast and coordinate resources for the truck fleet.
• Perform timely ship confirms (MO & Imminent).
• Coordinate same-day route changes (surprise pick-up).
• Coordinate the requirement of 2+ man team/delivery for Production machines.
• Make decisions on the most cost-effective solution for overflow routes (3PL carriers).
• Coordinate directly with the customer to get completed paperwork signed and dated accurately.
• Manage the return of inventory for canceled orders.
• Be responsible for truck ETAs.
• Place service calls as required.
• Provide time frame authorizations.
• May require printing out bills of lading.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 1 year customer service experience.
• Ability to use advanced software tools.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Required Education

• High school diploma or equivalent education.

Working Conditions
Typically works in an office environment with adequate lighting and ventilation, and a normal range of temperature and noise level. Work assignments are diversified, and the employee must interpret, comprehend, and apply complex material, data, and instructions. Minimal physical effort is required. The work is mostly sedentary but does require walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting, or carrying objects typically less than 10 lbs. (e.g., papers, books, files, and small parts). Moderate dexterity is needed, including regular use of basic skills such as a calculator, keyboard, hand tools, and eye/hand coordination.
