Job Description
Field Representative I – Fulfillment Position Summary

The Field Representative I provides operational support within a fulfillment center, ensuring the efficient production, handling, and delivery of print and document services. This role operates high-volume printing and copying equipment, manages shipping and receiving activities, processes mail and fax services, maintains copier equipment, and supports a variety of facility and customer service functions. The position may also assist with bindery work, quality control, housekeeping, records management, reception, call center activities, and light facilities support.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Operates high-volume production printing and copying equipment in a mechanically sophisticated environment, including binding and finishing tasks.
  • Sets up and runs all applications across assigned equipment.
  • Performs daily inspections of convenience copiers to ensure proper operation and print quality; clears paper jams and escalates technical issues to service technicians as needed.
  • Conducts repair and maintenance services on customer copier equipment.
  • Maintains accurate records for management reports, supply inventories, meter readings, and service logs.
  • Distributes office supplies, incoming and outgoing mail, and fax transmissions to designated personnel or locations.
  • Calculates job charges and maintains basic billing logs.
  • Responds to, coordinates, and resolves customer service requests and equipment service calls.
  • Performs filing, document purging, and archiving based on customer requirements.
  • Delivers completed jobs to designated customer locations both on-site and off-site as required.
  • Travels between customer buildings when necessary.
  • Answers customer inquiries regarding job status, timelines, and feasibility.
  • Ensures copier areas remain clean, organized, and adequately stocked with supplies.
  • Handles shipping and receiving of materials, including verifying packing slips and proper packaging methods.
  • Assists with conference room and meeting setups.
  • Supports building occupant moves within assigned facilities.
  • Performs light maintenance duties, including re-lamping, as assigned.
  • Performs occasional cleaning duties as required.
  • Operates bindery and finishing equipment, including shrink-wrap machines, paper cutters, hole drills, joggers, tape machines, stackers, electric staplers, and scales.
  • Uses copier systems, calculators, fax machines, postage meters, and basic PC applications.
  • Works periodic overtime, including nights, weekends, and off-hour emergency response when needed.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2–3 years of related work experience required.
  • Prior experience in a high-volume, production print environment is preferred.

Certifications & Licenses

  • Valid driver’s license with minimum required auto insurance coverage.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Working knowledge of copier equipment, printing systems, and basic repair practices preferred.
  • Understanding of shipping and receiving procedures.
  • Basic electronics knowledge preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to determine appropriate packing methods and verify shipment accuracy.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow technical manuals, instructions, and documentation.
  • Strong customer service skills with clear and professional verbal communication.
  • Ability to learn complex production and client-specific systems and applications.
Working Conditions & Physical Demands
  • Frequent exposure to copier and fax machine noise, toner, and varying room temperatures.
  • Potential exposure to paper cuts and minor injuries from handling paper, boxes, and equipment.
  • Occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions while traveling between buildings.
  • Regular interaction with customers, employees, managers, dispatch staff, and vendors.
  • Work is deadline-driven and may involve high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
  • Physical demands include prolonged standing, walking, bending, reaching, climbing, and lifting items up to 50 lbs.
  • May be required to push or pull wheeled equipment weighing up to 400 lbs.
