Job Description & Requirements
Ferguson is currently seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for a Showroom Sales Consultant. This is a commission-eligible role. The estimated total compensation range is $90,000 - $120,000 annually. Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
Primary Responsibilities
- Work with customers, including builders, designers, and homeowners, to sell a wide range of products, which may include lighting, appliances, and high-end fixtures
- Respond to inquiries with accurate pricing, inventory, and delivery information
- Greet guests upon arrival in the showroom, understand their motivation for visiting, and develop lasting customer relationships
- Prepare job quotations and submittals
- Assist customers—both by appointment and walk-ins—utilizing suggestive sales techniques and handling complaints accurately and in a timely manner
- Continually improve sales skills and product knowledge to maintain a professional image in the field
Required Experience
- Prior sales experience in plumbing fixtures, appliances, or lighting preferred
- Strong problem-solving, leadership, listening, and interpersonal skills
- Effective organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to engage with a wide range of customers with varying levels of product knowledge
- Understanding of design and interior decorating principles
- Skilled in consultative sales to recommend tailored solutions to customer needs
