Position Profile: Graphic Communications Executive

The Graphic Communications Executive is directly responsible for selling continuous feed inkjet technology, workflow solutions, and marketing solutions. This role focuses on driving sales within the graphic communications customer base.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead Ricoh’s penetration and expansion within the Graphic Communications vertical by developing a targeted customer strategy, including segmentation, awareness activities, and strong customer relationships.
  • Promote and evangelize new inkjet technology.
  • Consult with business owners and senior executives on how new technology can generate revenue and reduce costs.
  • Develop effective ROI analyses for proposed solutions.
  • Drive business development efforts within the assigned territory.
  • Manage, protect, and expand the territory by analyzing customer needs and developing solutions for both new and existing business communication requirements.
  • Deliver, install, and support strategies, products, and equipment within the assigned territory.
  • Meet or exceed revenue and gross profit targets, including continuous page growth.
  • Prepare and present effective briefings, proposals, and value propositions to assigned accounts.
  • Take ownership of resolving ongoing workflow or technical issues in partnership with Professional Services and Customer Service teams.
  • Maintain detailed records of all account activity in Ricoh’s sales database and CRM tools; serve as the primary contact for accurate sales documentation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Certifications)

Typically Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • 7–10 years of B2B sales experience, including at least 5 years selling high‑volume printers (preferably continuous feed and inkjet).
  • Extensive sales experience within the Graphic Communications vertical.
  • Demonstrated success in complex, consultative selling environments.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Proven ability to develop new business markets and opportunities.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the Graphic Communications industry.
  • Deep knowledge of technology and selling end‑to‑end complex solutions.
  • Strong understanding of sales methodologies and processes within a matrix environment.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication (written and verbal), and presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, time‑management capabilities, and self‑motivation.
  • Demonstrated success working with diverse teams.
  • Ability to manage the full order, delivery, and implementation process.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and related computer skills.
Working Conditions, Mental and Physical Demands
  • Typically works in a home office or corporate office environment with standard lighting, ventilation, and noise levels.
  • Work may involve cyclical stress due to frequent goals and deadlines and daily stress tied to decision-making and outcomes.
  • Requires minor physical effort, including periods of walking, standing, bending, reaching, stretching, climbing, and lifting or carrying items under 10 lbs (e.g., paper, files, small parts).
  • Requires moderate dexterity and regular use of basic tools (e.g., calculator, keyboard, hand tools).
  • Daily customer site visits are required; facilities may vary and may not always be accessible by public transportation.
