Position Description

The Laser Cell Set Up and Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining laser cutting machines to process various materials according to specifications. This role involves ensuring high-quality production standards and adhering to safety protocols. 

 

Hours: 2nd Shift 3:00-11:30PM or 3rd Shift 11:00PM-7:30AM  

Pay: Starting Rate is $25.18hour after 9 month the pay rate will increase to $27.97

Shift differential: 2nd shift $1.00/hr & 3rd shift is $1.50/hr

Location: 43 Douglas Way, Natural Bridge Station, VA 24579

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up laser cutting machines, including aligning and adjusting laser settings. 
  • Operate laser systems to cut and shape materials according to provided blueprints or specifications. 
  • Conduct quality checks after operations to ensure products meet required specifications. 
  • Inspect completed work to ensure accuracy and quality. 
  • Adhere to safety regulations and procedures, including wearing protective gear and ensuring the work environment is safe. 
  • Document and report all machine operations, including downtime, output, and any technical issues. 

Required Education & Qualifications

  • Previous experience in operating laser cutting machines or similar equipment. 
  • Familiarity with manufacturing environments and safety practices. 
  • Relevant technical certification or training is preferred
