The Residential Install Technician at Comcast is responsible for performing broadband installation and troubleshooting activities. This entry-level, trainee position allows for an increasing degree of proficiency and independence as skills and tasks are learned. Training and instruction will be provided throughout the tenure of this position, and continued employment is contingent upon achieving required certifications and safety standards.
Compensation: $18.20/hr + Quarterly Bonuses & Paid Training, Comprehensive Benefits package effective Day 1 (including Health, Dental, Vision), Highly Discounted Cable Services, 21 paid days off + 8 Company-observed holidays.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform installations and service changes adhering to company procedures, safety guidelines, and industry codes to ensure an outstanding customer experience.

• Update customer accounts accurately to reflect the products and services provided.

• Troubleshoot and resolve customer inquiries to ensure services are working properly, ensuring a positive experience.

• Educate customers about products and services to help them make informed decisions.

• Display resilience and problem-solving skills to complete tasks despite obstacles.

• Use installation tools and hand tools while working from heights (on poles and roofs), including climbing poles with safety equipment, ladders, and bucket trucks.

• Lift and carry loads of up to 70 lbs. and work in confined spaces such as crawl spaces and attics.

• Work in a variety of environments, including areas with exposure to noise, animals, or construction sites.

• Maintain equipment and company vehicle, ensuring readiness for required tasks.

• Perform duties safely, following state licensing requirements and working in inclement weather.

• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, holidays, and overtime as needed.

• Complete required training, including safety and product-specific training.

Required Experience

• 0-2 years of relative work experience in broadband installation or a similar technical role is preferred.

Required Education

• High School Diploma / GED required.
