Mechanical Maintenance Technician

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 2:45 PM – 11:00 PM
Pay Range: $30.00 – $35.00 per hour (based on experience)

We’re looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Technician who enjoys hands‑on work, problem‑solving, and keeping industrial equipment running reliably in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

What You’ll Do
- You’ll focus on mechanical maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment and facility systems:
- Diagnose mechanical failures, dismantle machinery, replace or fabricate parts, and restore equipment to proper operating condition.
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on industrial machinery, conveyors, presses, mixers, and rotating equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems, including bearings, gearboxes, belts, chains, shafts, pumps, and couplings
- Service and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems: cylinders, valves, pumps, compressors, and associated components.Use precision tools, hand tools, welding equipment, and mechanical measuring instruments to complete repairs.
- Interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, exploded views, and technical manuals.
- Install and align new equipment, ensuring proper fit, function, and safe operation.
- Support facility maintenance tasks, including HVAC mechanics, plumbing repairs, and general building upkeep (including snow removal when needed).
- Work alongside electrical technicians when troubleshooting electro‑mechanical systems.
- Document maintenance activities and follow safety and lockout/tagout procedures.
What You Bring
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree in Mechanical Technology, Industrial Maintenance, Millwright, or a related field, or equivalent hands‑on experience.
- 3+ years of mechanical maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Valid PA Driver’s License (ability to operate box trucks).
- Mechanical Skills & Experienc eProficiency with mechanical troubleshooting and repair of industrial equipment.
- Experience with bearings, gearboxes, shafts, chains, belts, and mechanical drive systems.
- Welding and fabrication experience (MIG/TIG/stick preferred).
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work from prints and manuals.
- Familiarity with basic electrical components (sensors, motors, limit switches) for equipment troubleshooting is a plus.
Nice to Have (Not Required)
- Experience working alongside PLC‑controlled machinery (no programming required).
- Alignment, vibration, or predictive maintenance experience.
- CMRT, Millwright certification, or similar technical training.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
- Industrial manufacturing environment with heat, dust, and noise.
- Prolonged standing, climbing, bending, and repetitive movement.
- Ability to lift up to 130 lbs.
- PPE provided and safety training required.
