Job Description & Requirements

Are you hands-on, customer-focused, and ready to grow your career? Whether you have experience in the trades or are looking to break into the industry, Ferguson is hiring Sales Support Representatives who are ready to help customers, solve problems, and learn the business from the ground up.

Schedule: Monday- Friday 8 am - 5 pm plus an on call schedule once every month 

Responsibilities 

  • Manage and respond to inbound sales inquiries (phone, email, online)  

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers  

  • Prepare and deliver quotes, proposals, and product recommendations  

  • Collaborate with outside sales and technical teams to meet customer needs  

  • Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities  

  • Maintain accurate records in CRM systems  

  • Follow up on leads and close sales opportunities in a timely manner  

  • Stay informed on product offerings, industry trends, and competitor activity 

 

Qualifications 

  • 3+ years of inside sales experience in an Industrial, manufacturing, or technical environment required 

  • Strong knowledge of industrial products (e.g., pipe, valves, fittings, and flanges) 

  • Knowledge of Chemical compositions on material test reports preferred  

  • Ability to understand technical specifications and translate them into customer solutions 

  • Proven track record of responding quickly to customer needs and ability to make decisions in a timely manner. 

  • Ability to react well in a fast-paced environment & follow through on commitments. 

  • Highly motivated and customer service oriented mentality with ability to build relationships is a plus. 

  • General digital literacy including Microsoft Office, Excel knowledge a plus.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills Self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented  

  • Ability to understand technical specifications and translate them into customer solutions
